Easily an under rated game,

The Last Remnant, a unique RPG with epic battles, good story & great music. im not gonna lie. the story isn't all that great i seen better, but its good enough, so basically the story goes like this, in ancient times, mysterious artifacts referred to as Remnants were discovered all over the world, people used these objects for their awesome powers causing a rift in the world's balance, war was inevitable, a thousand years later is when this game takes place. your Rush Sykes and your looking for your sister Irina Sykes along the way you meet people and get pulled into a war, ok down to business,

Gameplay & Graphics:
-
battles aren't random, and enemies can only be spotted in dungeons or in fields, if you encounter the enemy you get the uper hand at the start of battle and vis versa. battles play out like this, theirs two sides the Allies and the Enemies, each side has unions and units. every union can hold up to 5 units, as the game progresses the capacity of unions you can have increases anyway, the game is basically turn based chose your commands and a turn will start, some commands are only available depending on how the battle is going, example' lets say the battle just started. you can't heal anyone instead you have the option to tell a union to stand there and wait to heal any ally union that gets injured anytime during that turn, every action uses AP except normal attacks and waiting, however at the start of every turn AP is given to both enemy and ally unions, battles end when every enemy union is terminated and you get game over when every ally union is terminated, battles can take up to anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour, you can pretty much save anyway though, in towns and cities there are Pobs and guilds, in Pobs you can get useful information also this is where most quest can be accepted, in guilds you can do guild tasks. which are basically things like terminating a certain enemy or collecting a certain item, the graphics are pretty good, enemies look great and environments look good, unfortunately things like the sand don't really move when you walk over it,

Characters & Growth:
The growth system in this game isn't like your normal RPG there are no levels and rush is the only character that can be customized, everyone else asks you for a weapon or a accessory, your stats improve as you win fights and terminate stronger enemy unions, same goes for learning magic or skills, as the game progresses your allies ask on what they should work on. depending on your answer they will either learn something new or make a spell/skill stronger, every time you win a fight you'll notice a number at the top. your battle rank [BR] whats it do? it basically makes the enemies stronger. yup thats right just like in final fantasy 8 the enemies are usually always around your level, battle rank will go up no matter how strong the enemy is, so its best to try and avoid week enemies,

Music & Sound:
Music is where this game really shines, in towns dungeons or battle the music just fits so well in this game, music was done by various artists, but mainly tsuyoshi sekito, sound is also really great the sound of sword clashes or thunder zapping just sounds so real, voice acting was done very well especially in battle,

Final Say:
I highly Recommend this game for anyone who injoys massive battles and a good story, there's slight lag during battle which is probably the only problem with this game, alot of people whine about the difficulty but i don't see this as a problem, though some battles are stupidly hard,

Pros: Alot of optional stuff to do* Great Soundtrack* Epic battles*
Cons: Slight lag during battle* Difficulty jumps every now and then*
